The few cookies and bits of browser storage Quick Food Shop uses, and what each one is for.
A cookie is a small file your browser keeps for a website. These are set when you sign in and are needed for the site to know who you are.
| Cookie | What it is for | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| qf_customer, qf_vendor, qf_rider, qf_admin | Keeps you signed in as that kind of account. It holds your sign-in token, and scripts on the page cannot read it. | Customers, vendors and riders: up to 30 days after you last used the site. Admins: 8 hours. |
| qf_customer_rt, qf_vendor_rt, qf_rider_rt | Renews your sign-in without asking for your password again. It is only ever sent to our sign-in service, and only from this site. | Up to 30 days after you last used the site, and 90 days at most. |
Your browser can also keep small pieces of data for a site (local storage). We use it for these, and nothing else. None of it is sent to advertisers or analytics services.
| Name | What it is for | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| order-storage-v2 | Your cart, and any promo code you applied to it, so they are still there when you come back. | Until you empty it, sign out by choice, or clear your browser data. |
| vendor-welcome-seen | Vendors: so the welcome screen after approval shows only once. It holds no details about you. | Until you clear your browser data. |
| vendor_draft_items | Vendors: menu items you have started but not saved yet. | Until you clear your browser data. |
Some pages load content from Google: the map on the delivery step, in vendor and rider sign-up and on tracking pages, and the Sign in with Google button on the log-in and sign-up pages. Your browser connects to Google to show them, and Google may set its own cookies or use its own storage, under its own policy.
When you pay you are taken to Stripe's payment page, which has its own cookies.
You can avoid Google sign-in by using your email and password. See Google and Stripe for what they use.
To see which features are used, our site sends simple events to our own servers, such as a search, a store viewed or an item added to a cart. They carry no cookie, no device ID and nothing that names you, and they are not shared with anyone.
If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, we record nothing. Vendors, riders and admins are not counted at all.
The Privacy policy explains this and how long the counts are kept.
Ask us and we will explain what we use and why.
