Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Quick Food Shop collects, why we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and what choices you have.

Last updated: 2 October 2026
Who We Are
  • Quick Food Shop is a food and grocery delivery service in the United Kingdom, connecting customers with restaurants, stores and delivery riders.
  • We are the controller of the personal data described here: we decide how and why it is used.
  • Questions, requests and complaints about your data: info@quickfoodshop.com or +44 773 662 4832.
Information We Collect
  • Your account: name, email address, phone number and password.
  • Delivery addresses, and the place you choose on the map or find with Use current location (your browser asks your permission first).
  • Your orders, payments, refunds and wallet activity. Card details are typed on Stripe's payment page and never reach our servers.
  • Ratings and reviews you write, and messages you send to support.
  • Vendors and riders: identity documents (KYC), business or vehicle details, a profile photo, payout set-up with Stripe, and for riders your live location while you are online and on a delivery.
  • Your notification settings and, in our mobile app, the push token for your phone.
  • Technical and security information: IP address, browser type, sign-in times and security logs. Actions taken by our admin team are recorded in an audit log.
  • Anonymous visit information: which features visitors use, such as searches, stores viewed and items added to a cart. It is counted without cookies and without any ID of you.
How and Why We Use It
  • To take, deliver and support your orders, and handle payments, refunds and your wallet. This is needed to carry out our contract with you.
  • To verify vendors and riders, prevent fraud and misuse, and keep the service secure. This is in our legitimate interests, and sometimes a legal duty.
  • To send you messages about your orders, account and payments, by notification and email. This is part of our contract, and these cannot be switched off.
  • If we send news and offers, only where the law allows: with your consent, or, if you already buy from us, until you opt out. You can change this at any time in your notification settings.
  • To understand and improve the service with anonymous visit counts (our legitimate interests). If your browser sends Global Privacy Control we record nothing.
  • To use your location only for what you asked: finding your delivery address and, for riders, matching deliveries and letting you follow your order.
  • To meet legal duties, such as tax and accounting rules, and to answer lawful requests from authorities.
Who We Share It With
  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • Restaurants, stores and riders see what they need to complete your order: your name, phone number, delivery address and what you ordered. You can follow your rider's live location while your order is on its way.
  • Stripe processes card payments, wallet top-ups and payouts to vendors and riders, under its own privacy policy.
  • Google provides the maps, address search and Sign in with Google. The addresses you type or choose are sent to Google to find them.
  • Providers that host our systems, store images and send emails and notifications for us, only to do that work.
  • The authorities, when the law requires us to.
Where Your Data Goes
  • Some of our providers, such as Google and Stripe, may handle data outside the UK.
  • When they do, we only use providers that protect it with safeguards the law accepts, such as UK-approved transfer rules.
How Long We Keep It
  • Your account details are kept while your account is open.
  • When you delete your account you are signed out everywhere and the account is closed. Order and transaction records are kept, because restaurants, riders and our accounting depend on them and the law requires financial records to be kept for several years.
  • Sign-in sessions for customers, vendors and riders end after 30 days without use, and after 90 days at most. Admin sessions last 8 hours.
  • The anonymous daily visitor code is kept for up to 366 days and is then replaced by daily totals.
  • Support messages and identity documents are kept for as long as we need them for the reason we collected them, and as the law requires.
Notifications and Marketing
  • Order updates, receipts and security messages are part of the service.
  • We do not send marketing yet. If we start, you will be able to turn it off by email, text or app in your notification settings, and every marketing email will have an unsubscribe link. Announcements about the service itself, such as planned maintenance, are not marketing.
  • Text messages are not switched on yet.

Cookies and Similar Technologies
  • We use only the cookies and browser storage that keep the service working: staying signed in and remembering your cart.
  • We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and no third-party analytics.
  • Google, when a map or the Sign in with Google button is on the page, and Stripe, when you pay, may use their own cookies under their own policies.
Read our Cookies policy
Security
  • Connections to our site use HTTPS.
  • Your sign-in is held in secure cookies that scripts on the page cannot read.
  • Our team's access is limited by role, and admin actions are recorded in an audit log.
  • No system is perfectly secure. If you think your account has been misused, tell us straight away. If a breach puts your data at risk we will tell you, and the ICO where required.
Your Rights and Choices
  • Be told how your data is used (this policy).
  • Ask for a copy of your data, and have wrong details corrected.
  • Ask us to delete your data, restrict how we use it, or move it to another service, where the law gives you that right.
  • Object to uses based on our legitimate interests, and to marketing, at any time.
  • Withdraw consent you gave us, such as location sharing or marketing. Withdrawing does not undo what was done before.
  • We do not make decisions about you using only automated means that have a legal or similarly significant effect.
  • We reply within one month. Contact info@quickfoodshop.com.
  • If you are unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113.
